Choosing your vendors is easily one of the most intimidating steps to planning a wedding. They can literally make or break your event. Not to mention your budget. You want people that work well with others, that will listen to your wants and needs but will still give you their professional opinion on what works best.

The very first vendor that I recommend researching and hiring is, of course, a planner. They are like the insurance to your wedding. They know the ins and outs of the industry. They know what is in style or "so last season" Plus they can recommend vendors that they have worked with first hand.

Do your research!! I cannot stress this enough. Even if your planner recommends someone to you, go check them out! They may recommend a photographer that has a moody style of photography and you may love bright, airy photos. Make sure they are what you have in mind.

Now that you have your budget set, only look at vendors that fit inside your budget. Trust me, you will be glad you did. Otherwise, you may fall in love with a vendor a thousand dollars over what you want to spend. And that can be heartbreaking.

As always, don't forget to have fun! Enjoy telling people about your wedding and don't be afraid to speak up about your ideas.
